Carbonhagen 2014

We are happy to announce the 2014 edition of Carbonhagen - the fifth anniversary symposium on carbon nanomaterials and their growing 2D family. The event will be held in Copenhagen, August 21-22, and is as always jointly organised by Technical University of Denmark, University of Copenhagen and Århus University.

This year we also offer an intense 5-day Summer School (including CBH participation) focusing on the challenges in the field, lead by some of the best researchers in the field of 2D materials.

Thanks for a great Carbonhagen2013!

The fourth edition of Carbonhagen was launched on the 19th-20th August at Copenhagen University. More than 130 people participated and the seminar was once again a great success!

The seminar included many interesting talks, among others two great keynote speakers; Prof. Antonio Castro Neto, director of the Graphene Research Centre in Singapore and Prof. Ernie Hill, Associate Director of the Center for Mesoscience and Nanotechnology (CMN) in Manchester.

In addition to the plenary talks, the seminar included an afternoon poster-session and company/sponsor exhibition throughout both days.

Winner of best poster Bjarke Sørensen Jessen

Bjarke Sørensen Jessen from CNG and DTU Nanotech won one of the two first Prizes for best poster. His poster was entitled: “Towards Few-row Graphene Antidot Lattice Transistors”.

The program for the day includes partner presentations, group discussions and poster sessions.

News: Peter Bøggild gives TED talk

TEDxCopenhagen is organizing a Salon Event focusing on Technology on May 17th 2013 at Ingeniørhuset in Copenhagen (IDA). The title of the event is "Breaking Currents" - an expression that can reflect both hydrologic flow and electrical current, as well as currents that break. Peter Bøggild is invited to give a talk about "Graphene" at the seminar. The event we'll be streamed live at TEDxCopenhagen website from 1pm to 5pm. Read more about the event here.
